Hello again, I have some exciting news! The Logan Martin Church of Church has decided to oversee Parker Memorial Library and collect the funds. I'm so thrilled...one big step closer. Now, just to set up two bank accounts. Mark McWhorter has been an amazing help and continues to be so. He has a love for books and a desire to see others learn. I would be no where near where I am in accomplishing this library if not for him. God has blessed this effort! With the help of his daughter Katie (who works at a bank), he has agreed to set up the bank account. In an effort to improve the presentation, GBN is allowing me to record my voice in their studio. By putting audio on my presentation, it will be more personal and interesting. So, when that is accomplished, I will put the presentation on this blog.                  ...
Hi... This blog is meant to serve two purposes. A place for me to write and talk about my life in Africa and a place where those that support the Parker Memorial Library can read about how the library is progressing. I hope that in both purposes, the read is informative and enjoyable! I will be sure to post pictures and write at least once a week.   Our plane ride to the States went very well. It was great to be able to celebrate with Todd and Lauren on their wedding day. My grandparent's farm was a great place to have it (minus the cow patties :)). I think my favorite part was helping direct the wedding.   The library is on it's way to being established! This weekend I have been invited to show my presentation (which I will put on here in good time) to the Logan Martin congregation (in Pell City, AL) after services. There are still many things to do, but with God's help, all will be accomplished. ...
