About Us

Hi there! My name is Abigail and that handsome man up there next to me is Adam.

So you want to know about our lives? *smile*. I'd be happy to tell you!

I was born in Tennessee in 1995, and Adam in New Jersey in 1984. Yep, 11 years apart! But we can't help but think we see the hand of God in our finding each other.

I was raised by missionary parents and when they decided to return home after a total of 10 years in Tanzania, East Africa, I decided to remain behind and see my dream of a public library (that is to function as an educational center) to reality. Just about the time when I was getting things together, Adam came on the screen and now, we are both going to be working in Tanzania. Adam will be assisting me with the library, and helping TZ2000 ( the team we will be joining) start a radio station that will impact many.

I found out I was pregnant on June 4th, 2014, and it changed our plans. On February 14th 2015 we welcomed Jubilee Louise. She is such a joy and delight. We decided to wait, finish working on "The Christian Graces", a book we are translating into Swahili and see where God takes us. On March 20th 2017 God blessed us with another girl, Lydia Brooke.

So, this is our journey. Join us, help us and change lives. We're only given so much time on this earth. Let's use it to the best of our ability.

Well folks, it's been a while since I've written and for that I apologize. I just didn't feel like I had much to say in the progress of the library ( or my life for that matter- we traveled here, we traveled there), but now I clearly have enough. :) Since GBN I have tried to contact several people in  many congregations, attempting to get either one-time funds or monthly support.  I've gotten some  no's and have yet to receive any donations. But I've been told that you have to get a certain number of "no's" before you can get any "yes's".  I just spent the last  week in Montgomery. Dad was recording a class that he's teaching at Faulkner ( he's not going to be able to be there for all the semester). Me and David tagged along, hoping to get a few things done. Todd had agreed to give me some driving lessons and Robert Waggoner had told me to stop by when I got the chance and go through some books of his to see if I w...

Home Sweet Home :)

It truly is great to be home. The trip home was a little longer, more rushed and chaotic then usual, but that only made walking through those doors even sweeter. And it's mainly the little things, like having a place where my clothes belong, a place to relax after being out and about, and the security and peace of knowing I'm not leaving anytime soon. Besides Africa, I've never lived anywhere for more than three years. We have lived in this house ( I posted a picture for those of you who might curious as to what our house looks like) for a total of five years, though not five consecutive years.         I have also enjoyed getting back in the kitchen and cooking from scratch. I noticed how in the States it would take only half the time it takes here to prepare a meal. But I love cooking here so much more! So, again, to give you look into my life, this is my somewhat small but wonderful kitchen.  ...

Success!

Deuteronomy 15:11- For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you "You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land" The night before the giveaway, several members helped us get everything in order. The foyer furniture was moved to make room for the racks of clothing. Tables were set up for odds and ends like belts and gloves and for the peanut butter and jelly. We had about 20 members sign up to be there the day of the giveaway; We arrived at the church building 30 minutes before starting time, cause you know, there's always last minute things that need taken care of.
