Something Unexpected

Hehe...shortly after I wrote the last entry, Adam and I found out that I am expecting. A little Rymon will be joining us in early February. It has changed our plans for certain, but we both are excited! A wonderful gift from God. I was told by a lady here at church that it's a boy...I guess we'll see in about 6 weeks!!

Many people wondered if we would have the baby here in America. Yes. Our plan is to remain in Pennsylvania till after the birth, and then begin traveling for support. I have to admit, when I first found out, I didn't like that it pushed getting back to Africa further down the road. But after more thought, this actually seems like one of the best things that could have happened. $30,000 isn't easy to raise. With God and this extra time, I know it can be done!

Polishing the Pulpit is just around the corner. Adam and I hope to attend! Like last year, Parker Memorial Library will have a booth set up. Adam had the great idea of putting together a book to show that we are capable of printing and binding the books that are translated. There will also be a new presentation (with Adam's voice :) He is far more talented than I. PML even has a new logo, which I just love.

Till next time!

The Lord's Providence is Amazing!

Beautiful Mount Meru                                                                         Greetings!            This post is ridiculously overdue and I ask for your forgiveness. I have been preoccupied, as you will see. While I have not been as focused on the library itself as much, what I am about to tell you is going to effect the library tremendously ! I will not go into all the details, as that would make for a very long story. I will try and just give the information that is necessary, while still making it interesting.      Back in August of last year, I met Adam Rymon at Polishing the Pulpit (a week long lectureship held in Pigeon Forge, TN). We talked for about ten minutes, basically...

Potter Children's Home

What a wonderful season Christmas is. Pretty lights, the scent of pine trees, delicious goodies and time with family! You want to hear a funny story? Adam has needed a new office chair for quite some time. Recently, I sat down on it with him and crack! I broke it. The poor thing would lean to one side when you sat on it.  So, I bought him the exact same one, brand new, for Christmas. It arrived today and I secretly began trying to put it together in the laundry room. After about two hours, I gave up. I decided to let him have it early so he could help me finish putting the pieces together (smart, huh). Well, he gets to looking at it and discovers I've placed the armrests on the wrong sides. Fix that, everything else goes in place. Ta-da! All finished. Get it into the office and it won't tilt back. Adam fiddles with the chair, sits back down, and almost falls face forward because it's leaning the wrong way! We had a good laugh over it. But I've learned m...
Well folks, it's been a while since I've written and for that I apologize. I just didn't feel like I had much to say in the progress of the library ( or my life for that matter- we traveled here, we traveled there), but now I clearly have enough. :) Since GBN I have tried to contact several people in  many congregations, attempting to get either one-time funds or monthly support.  I've gotten some  no's and have yet to receive any donations. But I've been told that you have to get a certain number of "no's" before you can get any "yes's".  I just spent the last  week in Montgomery. Dad was recording a class that he's teaching at Faulkner ( he's not going to be able to be there for all the semester). Me and David tagged along, hoping to get a few things done. Todd had agreed to give me some driving lessons and Robert Waggoner had told me to stop by when I got the chance and go through some books of his to see if I w...
